Skull and Bones

The Skull and Bones secret society was formally established at Yale University in 1832, with its origins tracing back to Freemasonry and its symbolism drawing from the Pirates/Brotherhood of Death. Similar to the Masons, Bonesmen handpick their initiates, and the sole path to joining the Brotherhood is to be “tapped” by an existing member. Remarkably, only 15 individuals are admitted annually, which is astounding given the significant historical figures who are members of Skull and Bones.
